Aspen Park Townhouse — Aspen, Colorado — 1985

Objective: The photograph shows a one-eighth-inch scale model of the project as viewed from directly above. The client requested distinctive but functional roofs to convey a clustered, European ambience to the design.

The complex is made up of seven dwelling units. The units can be configured as six two-bedroom apartments with one, one-bedroom apartment, or four two-bedroom apartments, two three-bedroom apartments and one, one-bedroom apartment.

Although a variety of materials can be used to express the exterior walls, the elevations illustrate the use of an exterior foam insulating system, coated with acrylic stucco.
