Real-Time Quotes & Technical
Analysis Over The Internet!
LiveWire
Internet merges the capabilities, speed, and reliability
of the LiveWire
Professional with the convenience of the Internet to
create a new standard for all investment software. LiveWire Internet
gives you:
- Real-time
data on the NYSE, AMEX, and NASDAQ, and CME, never more than
one second behind the market. Other futures and options markets
will be added later.
- Unlimited
number of symbols update from our servers in real-time. LiveWire
servers get their data from S&P ComStock, the fastest and
most accurate market data available.
- All charts
are maintained on our servers so that any time you view a graph
it is filled in with current data. This means that you do not
have to keep LiveWire running during market hours to keep your
charts accurate and up-to-date. Over
40 technical studies can be performed on the intraday, hourly,
daily, or weekly charts.
- LiveWire's
custom Internet technology can hammer through the worst Internet
connections. Our proprietary client-server technology allows
our service to keep up with the markets even on a 28.8k modem
connection!
- Our familiar
LiveWire DOS software runs in Windows 95/98/M.E./2000.
- There
is also a new LiveWire Windows client called LiveWire
Advisor, that has quote screens, charts, tech analysis,
and displays the results of powerful real-time custom filters.
- LiveWire
Internet offers over 70 real-time filters
that inform you within seconds when significant profit opportunities
appear-- often well in advance of even the most sophisticated
traders!
LiveWire
Internet lets you stay on top of your investment, in real-time,
from anywhere using the Internet.
How
LiveWire Internet Works
LiveWire
Internet was designed with one main goal: to provide the
fastest and most reliable real-time data over the Internet. To
realize this goal, we developed a custom UDP (User Datagram Protocol)
communication system.
UDP
is a simple, single packet protocol that is the basis of most
high performance Internet applications such as RealAudio. High
performance applications use UDP because it does not require the
overhead of establishing connections and retransmission of lost
packets, like the streaming protocol TCP. This allows LiveWire
Internet to work over networks with slow ping delay or large
packet loss.
Even
the fastest Internet servers get bogged down when peak loads exceed
capacity, requested packets are dropped, and re-requests start
to avalanche. Unfortunately, this usually happens when there is
a crisis in the market and everyone wants their data at the same
time. Unlike streaming Internet quote providers that use TCP,
LiveWire UDP-based servers do not avalanche and will never be
a bottle neck.
Client/Server
is Better Than Streaming
LiveWire
Internet is not just a data-feed patch to the Internet,
using streaming quotes on a limited set of symbols. Streaming
quotes require strict data integrity and fail miserably on noisy
or slow Internet connections. As the number of transactions in
the markets grow, it will become harder for streaming Internet
quote services to distribute true tick-by-tick data to their customers.
In
contrast, LiveWire Internet is a true Client/Server application.
The LiveWire Client runs on your computer, requesting data updates
from the LiveWire Servers running at CableSoft. Because the screen
you are viewing is updated using one UDP packet, it takes much
less Internet bandwidth to keep your screen current. In addition,
Internet packet continuity is not required. If a packet is dropped,
it is ignored, and the next packet transmission gets the screen
data for you. With LiveWire Internet, we maintain the best
possible data on our Servers using a dedicated, high speed connection
to S&P Comstock. You then view any collected data on our Servers
using an Internet connection.
The
Client /Server model of LiveWire Internet allows you to
track an unlimited number of symbols. Since only the symbols you
are viewing are updating, adding more symbols to LiveWire does
not increase the amount of data needed over the Internet.
This
design also improves reliability. Many customers have a hard time
maintaining computer reliability needed to collect chart data
using a data-feed. This is no longer a problem. The LiveWire Servers
running in our office are rock solid reliable. Whenever you log
in from anywhere in the world, your charts are refreshed and up
to date. There are no holes, and the charts are split-adjusted
automatically.
The
LiveWire Servers are the fastest and most reliable in the industry
because they are running in DOS. Each Server is designed to handle
over 2000 simultaneous users. If any Server goes down, the LiveWire
Client automatically switches to the next best Server.
Easy
to Install, Easy to Use
The LiveWire Internet Client is easy to install by clicking
an icon on our Website to download one small install file. Next,
run the install program in Windows to install LiveWire Internet
and create an Icon on your desktop. This procedure will install
a fresh LiveWire or update an existing LiveWire System.
Now,
whenever you are connected to the Internet, you can run LiveWire
and get real-time data as if you were connected directly to the
ComStock data-feed. LiveWire Internet has the same functions
you are already familiar with in the LiveWire Professional.
LiveWire
Internet Saves Time and Money
LiveWire Internet saves you time because you no longer have
to maintain your history charts on a dedicated computer that runs
continuously. This also frees up your computer resources for other
tasks.
LiveWire
Internet saves you money because the Client / Server design
reduces the bandwidth needed to transmit real-time data to your
computer by a factor of ten. This savings in bandwidth translates
into reduced cost for data transmission allowing us to charge
you only $79 per month for real-time data.
Freedom
To Go Anywhere
LiveWire Internet frees your computer from being tied to
a satellite or cable receiver. Now, you can take LiveWire with
you on the road and get your data over the Internet anywhere in
the world.
DataNet
Over The Internet
If you subscribe to LiveWire Internet, you no longer need to use
our modem historical data service called DataNet. If you only
need end-of-day hourly, daily, and weekly historical data, now
you can subscribe to LiveWire Internet's end of day service
for only $25 per month and get better data faster and easier than
ever before. LiveWire Internet gives you all the chart data
you want in a matter of seconds.
LiveWire
Internet Software Is Free
If you subscribe to LiveWire Internet, you can download
the LiveWire Client software free of charge at any time. There
are no copy protection keys for the Internet version of LiveWire.
This means that you can take LiveWire anywhere on any computer
and have real-time data using your LiveWire Internet account.
LiveWire
Super Cluster Technology
The basis of the LiveWire Advisor's calculations are the LiveWire
Traders running at CableSoft. By running in DOS, the LiveWire
Trader calculates real-time equations over 100 times faster than
any other system.
We
have further enhanced the calculation performance by linking the
LiveWire Traders into a Super Cluster of Servers to spread the
calculations across an array of networked computers. The resulting
calculation performance in our office is more than any one computer
system could ever expect to achieve. We have virtually unlimited
calculation potential limited by only the number of servers that
we can attach to our network.
It
is our goal at CableSoft, Inc. to provide you with the results
of the best real-time market indicators. We have created the server
technology to calculate any market equation in real time. Now,
we are refining the equations of our authors to produce meaningful
market indicators.
$79
per Month for Real-Time
The LiveWire Internet data service is being offered at an
introductory rate of $79 per month plus exchange fees for users
who pay for six months in advance. This is a tremendous savings
over traditional data-feed services. If at any time during the
six months you decide to cancel your subscription, your charges
will be prorated to the next month at the standard month-to-month
rate of $99 per month. The NYSE, AMEX, and NASDAQ exchange fees
are $4 per month for nonprofessionals, and $177.45 per month for
professionals. Quotes from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME)
are available for a $60/month exchange fee (CME e-mini quotes
are available for only $10 per month exchange fee). For your convenience,
LiveWire Internet subscriptions are automatically extended at
the end of each subscription period to insure continuity of service.
$25
per Month For End of Day
We are also offering an end of day service that allows you to
update your charts when the market is closed. Our end of day service
has hourly, daily, and weekly charts. End of day service is only
available after market hours and requires a six month commitment
of $150. Intra-day are only available to real-time users.
Futures
/ Options
LiveWire Internet offers real-time data on the NYSE, AMEX, and
NASDAQ, and the CME. This includes Indexes and Mutual Funds. Other
futures and options markets, such as the CBOT and Options Reporting
Authority (OPRA) will be coming soon. If you would like to be
notified when LiveWire Internet offers data on additional futures
or commodities exchanges, please e-mail us at techsupport@livewire-cablesoft.com.
$129
per Month For LiveWire Multi-Monitor
You may have heard of our new version of LiveWire called LiveWire
Multi-Monitor. LiveWire Multi-Monitor allows you to view the market
on up to six different monitors plugged into one computer using
standard PCI VGA cards. Each monitor works like an independent
version of LiveWire, updating in real-time. You can set up each
screen the way you want and then toggle to the next monitor using
the shift-tab keystroke combination. An exclusive LiveWire feature
allows you to synchronize monitors so that when you change symbols
on one monitor, the symbol changes on the other monitors. LiveWire
Multi-Monitor runs only in DOS. To connect LiveWire Multi-Monitor
to the Internet, you must run in DOS on an EtherNet network using
a DSL or Cable Modem router. Updating multiple monitors requires
more data transfer and therefore we charge a little more per month
for its use. Many customers have expressed to us their great satisfaction
with the LiveWire Multi-Monitor because they have a much bigger
view of what is going on in the market.
